Pics from Directed Research

Ana, Brandon, and Theo on one of our ventures to interview pastoralists.

My favorite area in Mto wa Mbu, where we had lunch every day with the artists.

Two guys I video interviewed. There were kids jumping around in the background trying to get into the video.

Mto wa Mbu: red banana in one hand, Baobab fruit in the other.

A common sight. This time the car wouldn't start and we were still at camp!

Our guide Theobald and me on our lunch break way out in the pastoralist's territory. The thorns were so bad we had to stop every few seconds to get them out of our shoes! This was the day that the Maasai ladies hit Brandon with a stick and then the leader invited us back.
